Morning Reflection — Jesus on the Way to Calvary

Jesus walked slowly toward Calvary.

His body was wounded, His steps were heavy with exhaustion, and upon His shoulders He carried the weight of the cross. He had been betrayed, humiliated, insulted, and unjustly condemned. And yet, He continued to walk.

With every step, there was pain. With every fall, it became harder to rise again. But Jesus did not give up.

In the Way of the Cross, we contemplate not only Christ’s suffering, but also the greatness of His love. He could have abandoned that path, but He chose to continue because of His love for humanity.

How many times do we also walk through difficult paths? How often are we hurt by words, disappointed by people we trusted, betrayed, treated unjustly, or simply exhausted from trying?

Jesus teaches us that feeling pain does not mean losing faith. Crying does not mean being weak. Falling does not mean we must remain on the ground.

We must rise and continue.

Jesus fell, but He rose again.
He felt pain, but He continued.
He was humiliated, but He did not respond with hatred.
He was betrayed, but He remained on the path of love.

This morning, as we remember the Way of the Cross, may we place our own crosses in His hands.

May He give us strength when our steps become heavy, courage when we face injustice, and serenity so that our pain will never transform our hearts.

Lord Jesus, walk with us on our journey. When we are tired, sustain us. When we fall, help us rise. And when our cross seems too heavy, remind us that we never walk alone.

May our journey today also be a path of faith, hope, and love.

Jesus, You who walked to Calvary because of Your love for us, walk with us today. Amen. 🙏❤️🕊️
