 Morning Reflection

Jesus teaches us that the true value of an offering is not measured by its amount, but by the love with which it is given. In the Temple, many wealthy people placed large sums into the treasury, while a poor widow offered only two small coins—everything she had to live on.

To human eyes, her gift seemed insignificant. But in the eyes of Jesus, she had given far more than anyone else because her offering came from a heart filled with generosity, trust, and faith. The others gave from their abundance; the widow gave all she had.

This lesson reminds us that God does not measure our actions by appearances, but by the sincerity of our hearts. Every act of kindness, every comforting word, and every helping hand offered to someone in need has great value when it is inspired by love.

Jesus invites us to give what we are able—nothing more and nothing less. God does not expect the impossible from us; He simply asks that we share, with joy and generosity, the gifts He has entrusted to us. When we give with love, even the smallest gesture becomes a precious offering in the sight of the Lord.

May we live today with humble, generous hearts, remembering that our greatest treasure is not what we possess, but the love we are willing to share.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, teach me to be generous like the poor widow, offering You the very best of my heart. Help me never to focus on the size of what I can give, but on the sincerity and love with which I give it. Guide me to share my time, my talents, my hope, and my faith with those who are in need. May my life become an offering pleasing in Your sight. Amen.
