Mary, Mother of Hope
Among all women, God chose Mary for a unique mission: to become the Mother of the Savior. Her greatness was not found in wealth or power, but in her humility, unwavering faith, and complete trust in God's will.
When the angel Gabriel announced that she would be the mother of Jesus, Mary did not understand every detail of God's plan. Yet she answered with courage and surrender:
"Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word." (Luke 1:38, ESV)
These words have echoed through the centuries as an example for all believers. How often are we also called to trust without seeing the entire path ahead? Mary teaches us that true faith does not require every answer; it rests in the certainty that God knows what He is doing.
Throughout her life, Mary walked beside Jesus in moments of joy and in times of deep sorrow. She remained faithful at the foot of the Cross, never abandoning her Son, becoming a lasting example of love, faithfulness, and hope.
As we reflect on Mary's journey today, we are invited to follow her example: to live with humility, to embrace God's will with peace, and to trust that, even in life's difficulties, He continues to guide our steps.
Prayer
Mary, Mother of Jesus and our Mother, teach us to trust in God as you trusted Him. Give us humble, patient, and hopeful hearts. Help us to say "yes" to God's will each day and to walk faithfully under your loving care.
