📖 Paths of the Word — Revelation 20

Key Verse

“Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection; over such the second death has no power.” (Revelation 20:6)

Summary

Revelation 20 describes the imprisonment of Satan for a thousand years, the reign of Christ with the faithful, and then the temporary release of the enemy for one final attempt to deceive the nations. After that comes the final judgment before the great white throne, where everyone is judged according to their deeds. The chapter ends with the definitive defeat of evil and the separation between eternal life and condemnation.

Reflection

This chapter reminds us that evil will not have the final word. Even when the world seems filled with injustice and suffering, God remains sovereign over history. The imprisonment of Satan symbolizes the limit that the Lord places on the forces of evil, while the reign of Christ reveals the victory of those who remained faithful.

The final judgment also calls us to responsibility. Every choice, every word, and every action has value before God. We are not called to live in fear, but in hope and vigilance, knowing that faithfulness to the Gospel leads to eternal life.

Teaching for the Day

Live in such a way that your life reflects the hope of the resurrection. Evil may seem strong for a time, but God’s truth remains forever. Choose today the path of faith, justice, and love.

Prayer

Lord God, strengthen my faith so that I may remain steadfast through the difficulties of life. Do not let me be overcome by fear or by the temptations of the world. Help me to live according to Your Word, with love, justice, and hope. May my heart be prepared for the day when I stand before You, trusting in Christ’s victory and in the promise of eternal life. Amen.

🌿 “Christ’s victory is the assurance that hope will never be defeated.”
