 Paths of the Word

Revelation 8

Summary:
In this chapter, when the seventh seal is opened, there is silence in heaven — a deep and solemn silence, as if preparing for something great.
Seven angels are given trumpets, and another angel offers incense together with the prayers of the saints before God.
As the trumpets begin to sound, intense events strike the earth: fire, blood, destruction of nature, and changes in the heavens.
It all reveals that there is a time of justice, but also that prayers are never forgotten.

Reflection:
The silence in heaven teaches us that God does not always act in noise.
There are moments when everything seems still… but in truth, something very important is being prepared.

The trumpets remind us that life also has its calls — some gentle, others strong — awakening us, correcting us, and inviting us to turn our eyes back to God.

Even in difficult times, one truth remains:
prayers rise like a fragrance before God.
Nothing done with faith is ever lost.

Teaching:
God works both in silence and in times of transformation.
Trust, even when you do not understand.

Key Verse:
“And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, rose before God.”

Prayer:
Lord,
even when everything seems silent, help me to trust in You.
Teach me to recognize Your signs
and to remain steadfast in faith through life’s changes.
Receive my prayers
and strengthen my heart to walk with hope.
Amen.
